HUANG Donghai is an associate professor and academic adviser for the Master of Laws in the School of Humanities at BUPT. He serves as a research fellow in the Institute of Internet Governance and Law at BUPT. He is also a council member of China Institute of Legal History and the Professional Committee for Chinese Legal History. He is a member of the Research Society of Dong Biwu’s Legal Thought and deputy director as well as a research fellow for the legal culture center at Renmin University of China. His main research interests consist of history of Chinese civil and commercial law, traditional civil and commercial legal culture, the creative transformation of traditional civil and commercial legal culture under network conditions. He presided over one research program funded by National Social Science Fund and three provincial and ministerial longitudinal projects, and participated in two major National Social Science Fund projects.
